Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday addressed a rally in Bharuch ahead of Gujarat polls. He invoked the farmers’ issue and black money in the rally.
Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul said that farmers are distressed in Gujarat and there is no one to help them. He said that 90 per cent of colleges in the state are in the hands of big industrialists and poor cannot afford it because of high fees.
"Narendra Modi had given Rs 33,000 crore bank loan for Tata Nano at very low rates which is almost free. He took your land and given to Tata company. That Rs 33,000 could have been used for waiving off farm loans in the state," said Rahul.
“Have you seen Nano car on the roads? Is it visible anywhere? You can look for it in entire country, you will not find it,” said Rahul.
Stepping up his attack on PM Modi, Rahul said that they have been in power for the last 3 years and asked how many Swiss account holders are in jail?
“Tell me one name who has been kept in jail by Modi. Vijay Mallya is absconding. He is enjoying in England," said Rahul Gandhi.
“There is no ease of doing business in India. Demonetisation and GST have spoiled everything. BJP will be electrocuted on the day voting in Gujarat” said Rahul.
