Terrorists open fire at CRPF camp in Awantipora, security forces retaliate, area under cordon
The Security Forces At The Camp, Located In The Panz Gam Village Of Awantipora, Had Retaliated In The Attempted Firing. The Area Had Been Put Under Cordon With Many Military People Stationed At Several Spots, In Case Of Additional Firing.
In another attempt, terrorists fired at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in a village in Awantipora district of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.
The security forces at the camp, located in the Panz Gam village of Awantipora, had retaliated in the attempted firing. The area had been put under cordon with many military people stationed at several spots, in case of additional firing.
The search operations were said to be underway. As of now, no terrorist has been found.
Earlier on Monday, two militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba started a gun battle with CRPF officials at the Karan Nagar camp in Srinagar. Both the militants, later on, were killed by the CRPF personnel, with the help of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Before that, on Saturday, five soldiers and one civilian were killed while several others including an army man’s daughter injured after four Jaish-e-Mohammed fidayeen terrorists stormed the Sunjuwan Army camp in Jammu. All the four terrorists were gunned down by the officials.
