Vyapam scam: CBI files chargesheet against 490 accused, says no basis in Digvijaya's allegations against MP CM Shivraj Singh
The CBI Said There Is No Basis In Allegations Made By Digvijaya Singh That The Hard Disk Which Was Seized Was Tampered With.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against 490 accused in connection with Vyapam scam.
The central investigation agency gave virtual "clean chit" to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, saying that no mention of 'CM' in the hard disc which was seized.
The CBI said there is no basis in allegations made by Digvijaya Singh that the hard disk which was seized was tampered with.
In its charge sheet filed by the CBI before a special CBI court, the CBI has claimed that a detailed forensic analysis of the hard disc of the computer showed that there was no file carrying "CM" ever stored on it, CBI officials said.
The charge sheet filed by the CBI in connection with a PreMedical test for 2013 has listed 490 accused which includes three Vyapam officials - Nitin Mohindra, Ajay Kumar Sen and CK Mishra. The CBI alleged that the racketeers arranged solvers forMBBS aspirants.
In September, the Madhya Pradesh high court had issued a notification, stating that cases related to the Vyapam scam will be heard by seven special courts in four major cities of the state instead of the earlier 16. (With PTI Inputs)
