Veteran Australia cricketer Cameron White has earned a shock recall to the national side for a five-match Gillette ODI series against England.
Cameron, who has not played International ODI cricket for almost three years will replace the injured all-rounder Chris Lynn.
The 34-year-old Australian was rewarded for his good performance in domestic one-day cricket and consistent form for the Melbourne Renegades in the KFC Big Bash League (BBL).
“Cameron White is in very good form, he is one of the leading run-scorers in the KFC BBL. He is quite experienced and a smart cricketer. White ticks all the boxes what we need at this stage,” national selector Trevor Hohns said.

A few days back, White laughed when reporters had asked White about his possible come back.
Now after getting the recall for the national side, a “grateful” White was very surprised when Trevor Hohns called him to deliver the good news.
"I was very surprised this morning when Trevor Hohns rang me," White was quoted as saying by Cricket.com.au.
"In the back of my mind I probably never gave up all hope. It's something I've always wanted to do, is get back and have another go at it, he said.
White will replace Chris Lynn and would probably fill the gape at No. 4 position in the batting order.
