One of India's most historic venue Eden Gardens will have four stands named after former Indian stalwarts and administrators. The stands will be formally inaugurated before the commencement of the third match match between India and England on Sunday.
The ground will have two more stands named after war heroes which will be inaugurated before the next international match, along with two more named after former administrators.
"Tomorrow four (stands) will be unveiled and they will named after Jagmohan Dalmiya, Biwanath Dutt, Pankaj Roy and me," Sourav Ganguly, Cricket Association of Bengal's President, told reporters in Kolkata.
"Four other stands named after JC Mukherjee, AN Ghosh and two war heroes will be inaugurated before the next international match. The army is yet to finalise the names of the war heroes but it is expected soon."
India and England are set to play the third and final One-Day International match of the series at the Eden Gardens. The hosts have have already sealed the series with a 2-0 lead, having won the previous two ODI's in Pune and Cuttack.
