Rajesh Ghodge Suffered A Massive Heart Attack During A Local Tournament At Rajendra Prasad Stadium In Margao At Around 3 Pm Today.
Former Goa Ranji Trophy player Rajesh Ghodge suffered a massive heart attack during a local tournament at Rajendra Prasad Stadium in Margao at around 3 pm today. The 43-year-old Ghodge, who was playing for MCC Challengers against MCC Dragons was at the non-striker’s end after scoring 31 runs.
According to the players, Ghodge was at the non-striker’s end when he suddenly collapsed. He was immediately rushed to the nearby ESI hospital where the doctors tried to revive him but failed. Ghodge was also brought to the Apollo Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ghodge made his debut in the 1999-2000 season and played two first-class matches in which he has scored 76 runs. He has also played eight List A matches for Goa where he has registered 115 runs with one half-century.
