Australian left-arm spinner Brad Hogg today expressed happiness after he was bought by reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders during the eighth Indian Premier League auction.
Riding on his tremendous success at the Australian Big Bash side, Perth Scorchers, Hogg was today bought by Kolkata franchise for Rs 50,00,000 during the auction at Bengaluru.
“Stoked to be joining the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2015 Indian Premier League. Does that mean I’ve been Knighted?”, the 44-year-old wrote in his twitter account.
Hogg, who has taken 156 wickets in 123 ODIs for Australia, also shared a picture of KKR which read, “welcome Brad Hogg”.
He also wrote: “Nice welcome from my new team ... Kolkata Knight Riders”.
Hogg, who earlier played for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has taken 106 wickets in 105 twenty20 matches in his career.
