The Board of Cricket Control (BCCI) in India has called for an emergency meeting in wake of Manchester Arena explosion that left 22 people dead on Tuesday. The meeting has been possibly called for taking a stock of the security situation in England ahead of the Champions Trophy.The upcoming ICC Champions Trophy scheduled to commence from June 1 in England could be postponed or possibly delayed as the event has come under the loom of potential security threat in wake of the Manchester terror attack that rocked the English city on Tuesday morning. The showpiece event would see the top eight cricket nation lock horns against each other for the coveted trophy. India is placed in Group B alongside Pakistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa. India shall kickstart its campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on June 4 at Edgbaston. A suspected suicide bomb blast at Ariana Grande Music concert at Manchester killed at least 22 people and injured over 50 others on Monday night (Tuesday IST). The British media initially reported the multiple explosion, now reports suggest that it was a terrorist attack in form of a suicide bomber.The attack comes barely two months after a terrorist suspect mowed down pedestrians on the bridge next to British Parliament and stabbed a police officer before being shot dead by Scotland Yard officers.
