India beat arch-rivals Pakistan to clinch the T20 Blind World Cup in Bangalore on Sunday. Chasing a target of 198, the Indians achieved the target with loss of just one wicket.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian team on successfully defending the T20 Blind World Cup title.

Pakistan set a target of 198 courtesy Badar Munir who top scored with 57 runs, while Mohammad Jamil and Amir Ashfaq scored 24 and 20, respectively.

In India’s bowling department, Ketan Patel and Jaffar Iqbal took two wickets each, while conceding 29 and 33 runs respectively.

Pakistan, who had been unbeaten in the tournament until today, had thrashed England by 147 runs in the semifinals, setting up a final date with arch-rivals India in the final.

Badar Munir and Israr Hassan had shone with the bat against England. Both had made tons and piled up 226 runs for the first-wicket partnership.
