IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils has roped in West Indian allrounder Marlon Samuels for the injured Proteas opening batsman Quinton de Kock who was ruled out from this season due to an injury.
Marlon Samuels would bring in that much-required balance to the struggling Delhi Daredevils side which has proved its pedigree with a bowling heavy side but certainly lacks depth in their batting this season. Marlon Samuels had earlier played for Pune Warriors in the IPL.
Samuels was among the unsold players in the IPL auction this year, with a base price of INR 100 lakhs. Samuels is expected to join the Daredevils squad on April 29.Marlon Samuels has been a proven performer for West Indies in T20 cricket and is one of the most sought after players in the shortest format of the game.
