Delhi Daredevils beat Gujarat Lions by 2 runs in a thrilling encounter. Shreyas Iyer was the wrecker-in-chief as he destroyed the DD bowling to all parts of the ground. Whereas Gujarat Lions scored 195 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, Delhi Daredevils made 197 runs after losing 8 wickets as they won the match with 2 balls remaining.
Man-of-the-match Iyer hit 96 runs off 57 balls and his knock comprised off 15 fours and two massive sixes. Although Delhi lost its top batsmen Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant cheaply, Iyer struck strong partnerships with Karun Nair (30) and Pat Cummins (24).
He stayed on the crease till the 20th over and brought the equation down to 7 runs off 3 balls when Basil Thampi bowled him. Amit Mishra then hit two boundaries to take Delhi to victory and complete Iyer’s unfinished knock.

Earlier, Gujarat Lions batted in a fascinating manner as they scored 195 runs while losing only 5 wickets. Aaron Finch was in brutal form as he destroyed the Delhi Daredevils bowling line up with 69 runs off 39 balls. His brutal knock contained 6 fours and 4 sixes as he clobbered the Delhi bowlers all over the ground.
