# MS Dhoni became the second world cup winning captain in India when he led his team against Sri Lanka in 2011. Before that Kapil Dev and his team had won the world cup in 1983. In 2003 Sourav Ganguly took India to the final but lost in finals.
# He is the first World T20 winning team’s captain. In 2007 in South Africa India beat Pakistan in the World T20 final.
# Under his captaincy, India held the numero uno position in Test ranking for 18 months.
