Hail King Kohli – History-making machine: Twitter goes berserk in tribute
Virat Kohli had a record-breaking evening in the Vizag ODI against West Indies when he shattered Sachin Tendulkar’s record of being the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs. Kohli achieved this feat in 205 innings, 54 quicker than the mark set by Tendulkar.

He registered his fourth 150+ score in ODIs, to become the only individual in history to score 1000+ runs in both Tests and ODIs for two consecutive calendar years.

Apart from the two major milestones, Kohli achieved plenty of other records along the way. He blasted 1000 runs in a calendar year in ODIs for the sixth time out of his 10 playing years. He overtook Tendulkar’s record of most runs in ODIs against West Indies, surpassing his mark of 1573 runs. He also went past 4000 ODI runs at home, once again breaking Tendulkar’s feat.
With so many records broken in a single day, Kohli has shown that he is the King of Cricket when it comes to rewriting the history books.
