In Varanasi, an International football player Poonam Chauhan has died due to dengue. Chauhan had represented India at the international forum and also captained UP women football team five times.
Former UP captain was said to be unemployed from a long time. Despite having C level license for coaching, she couldn’t become coach.
She had urged every minister from Varanasi to Lucknow for job but no minister turned out for her help. Lack of job opportunities for national woman players indicates indifference of administration.
