Tennis vetran Leander Paes has refused to share a room with Rohan Bopanna and he has informed the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) about it, according to reports. Paes was to partner Rohan Bopanna in the doubles event but he arrived late in Brazil. This caused his doubles partner to train with Sania Mirza and Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic instead.
It was also reported by a leading news agency that Paes had informed the Indian Olympic Association about his wish to not to share flat with Bopanna at the Olympic Village due to rift between the two.
Bopanna is India's highest-ranked doubles player and he has picked Saketh Myneni over Paes as his doubles partner for the Olympics. But the All India Tennis Association (AITA) named Paes as Bopanna's partner for Rio.
