World Champion silver medalist PV Sindhu continued her impressive run and progressed to the semi-final of the Korean Super Series 2017. The tall and lanky Indian shuttler beat Japan's Minatsu Mitani in three closely contested games 21-19 18-21 21-10 in the quarter-final in Seoul on Friday.
The Olympic silver medallist shall be locking horns with the winner of the quarterfinal between Sung Ji-hyun and He Bingjiao. If the Indian wins her last four clash, she shall take on the winner of the semifinalist between Nozomi Okuhara and Akane Yamaguchi.
Three weeks back, both faced each other in the Worlds final in Glasgow. In that grueling encounter, Okuhara came on top of Sindhu 21-19 20-22 22-20 to win the gold medal.
