Jinder Mahal Continued His Run As The WWE Champion After He Defeated The Number One Contender Shinsuke Nakamura At Summerslam.
WWE Summerslam proved to be an exciting and thrilling pay per view for fans. Eight championships were defended on the show, out of which five changed hands.
Jinder Mahal continued his run as the WWE champion after he defeated the number one contender Shinsuke Nakamura at Summerslam. Mahal’s WWE title reign now stands at 91 days.
The ‘King of Strong Style’ was the favourite to win the match, but he ended up coming short of victory. The Singh brothers caused distraction during the match, which assisted Mahal in retaining his championship.
The former NXT champion Nakamura made a grand electrifying violin entrance which made the crowd cheer for him.
The crowd was completely invested into the fight and kept on chanting for Shinsuke.
The modern day 'Maharajah' hit his finishing move 'The Khallas' on the Japanese wrestler to retain his title.
With this loss, the undefeated streak of Shinsuke Nakamura on the main roster came to an end.
Jinder Mahal won the WWE title by beating 13 time world champion Randy Orton at backlash.
