Defending champion Roger Federer brushed aside Hungary's Marton Fucsovics in straight sets to storm into the Australian Open quarter-finals on Monday.
The 19-time Grand Slam winner who hasnt dropped a set in his title defence at Melbourne Park this year, fended off world number 80 Fucsovics 6-4 7-6 (7-3) 6-2.Second seed Federer shall now lock horns with Czech Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals. Berdych beat Italy's Fabio Fognini in his last sixteen encounter to book a place in the last eight.
"I am sure he wants to make me pay for that one," said Federer. "I saw his matches, he is standing up hitting big shots and I am glad he's back."
