As shown in the video, a power bank ordered turned out to be fake after being delivered by an e-commerce website.
The product was fake, had duplicate cells and came out loose when pressed.
Xiaomi is also now worried about the fake products eating into its profit.
According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, “The biggest problem for the company right now is that there are many fake Xiaomi products in the market. The sales of the fake battery packs took nearly $115 million of potential revenue.”
