Meru Cabs today tied up with two more mobile payment service providers—Mobikwik and Paytm— to offer cashless travel to its customers.
With this, Meru Cabs has become world’s first taxi aggregator to partner with multiple wallets, Meru Cabs CEO Sidhartha Pahwa said in a statement here.
With over 70 per cent of its revenues from mobile applications, Meru has digitised itself by offering unique features in its mobile app , Pahwa said.
Meru’s ‘My Wallet’ is India’s first to enable travellers to store cash that can be used for payment of trips, he said.
Last year, it tied up with popular e-wallet, Citrus.
The revised app with three e-wallet partners is now available for Android Devices, iPhones, Windows Phone and Blackberry smartphones, he said.
“This is a great example of how we will connect over 17 million MobiKwik users and thousands of Meru users to give a seamless experience of hailing a Meru and paying via MobiKwik; which is an easy, fast and safe way to transact,” MobiKwik Founder and CEO Bipin Preet Singh said.
