Soon Goa Will Get WiFi-enabled Beaches And Other Infrastructure Related Upgradation Under The ‘Swadesh Darshan Scheme’, According To Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar.
Soon Goa will get WiFi-enabled beaches and other infrastructure related upgradation under the ‘Swadesh Darshan Scheme’, according to Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar.
The Centre has approved Goa’s coastal circuit project under which it will have infrastructure related facilities at various coastal areas like tourist information centers at Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, Morjim and Ashwem, public amenities at 10 beaches, providing CCTVs and wi-fi, safety and security measures and providing tourism signages.
Also while addressing the media, Parulekar said that Rs. 99.99 crores of central assistance is a record hiGoaghest allocation received by Goa Tourism since 2010.
When it comes to tourist destinations, Goa all year long remains one of the most preferable place to visit. So, upgrading the city with better infrastructure facilities will attract more tourism. Goa attracts nearly 40 lakh tourists every year, including half a million from abroad.
