Social messaging app WhatsApp is on a roll to increase its reach to the people. Days after crossing one billion user milestone, it is has announced to surge the group chat limit from 100 to 256 people in a group.
With the new version coming the limit can be increased to 256. The group chat limit was 100 earlier, which was raised from 50 in November 2014.
The changes has been made from WhatsApp’s end and the users don’t have to download any updates version. The new facility is available on both iOS and Android devices. If the device is not showing the change, then the client need to update it from App store or Play store.
Since February 2014, when Facebook acquired WhatsApp, several changes have been made to it. Recently, WhatsApp had removed the yearly subscription fees and made it completely free. It is even working on adding videos to its service.
Recently, the social messaging app has crossed the one billion user milestone globally with the addition of 100 million users in last five months.
