According to a report published in the Korean Herald, it has claimed that the face recognition technology used in the iPhone 8 will only take millionth of a second to scan a face.
The paper citing anonymous sources writes, “The new facial recognition scanner with 3D sensor can sense a user’s face in the millionth of a second.”
The 3D sensors are placed in the front and rear of the device to realize AR applications, which integrates #B virtual images with the user’s environment.
Several news websites and tech pages have reported that Apple is planning to abandon its fingerprint scanner in its new flagship smartphone and replace it with face recognition.
