WhatsApp, an instant messaging app, is currently not working properly in many countries on both iOS and Android phones. The users took to social media to complain that they are facing problems while trying to send across images and other media files. News Nation also tried to send images and videos, but couldn’t do so. However, normal messages are still working.
The latest data on Down Detector is showing there was some sort of global outage on WhatsApp.
Many users are complaining that are restarting their phones, switching to the airplane mode, and even doing everything possible to get it to work again, but nothing is working for them. Here are some of the interesting tweets:
According to downdetector, WhatsApp saw a big spike in reports of an outage around 4.15pm on Sunday. The tracking website says most of the users were facing issues with sending or receiving messages.
A lot of users also reported facing issues with the connection. A live outage map shows users in India, Europe, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brazil were affected by the outage.
