Coolpad on Wednesday launched its new smartphone Cool 3 Plus in India at a price of Rs 5,999. The smartphone is available only in two colours i.e. Ocean Blue and Cherry Black colours.
The newly-launched smartphone from Coolpad comes with a 5.70-inch touchscreen display and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It runs Android 9 Pie. The handset comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB – which can be expanded via microSD card. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM.
The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM cards. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, GPS, USB OTG, Micro-USB, Bluetooth v5.00, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
Sensors on the phone include ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, accelerometer, proximity sensor and fingerprint sensor. The smartphone comes with a 3,000mAh Li-ion battery.
On the optics front, the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera at rear. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
It is to be noted that the Cool 3 Plus is a successor to the Cool 3. Apart from the Cool 3 Plus, the company has also introduced a new variant of Cool 3 with higher RAM and storage capacity. Apart from higher RAM and storage, all other specifications of the new Cool 3 are the same as the earlier variants.
