Targeting the generation Y, technology giant HP has launched a new pocket size photo printer, HP Sprocket. Priced at Rs. 8,999, the HP Sprocket photo printer allows users to instantly print from their mobile phones.
The device connects mobile phones via Bluetooth and use Zink technology to prints photographs sized 2x3-inches.
The Zink technology printer allows smudge-proof, water-resistant and colourful photos without ink or toner cartridges.
With the HP Sprocket app, free on Android and iOS, users will be able to print directly from their social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram etc.
“Supporting a range of file types including .jpeg, .gif and .png, the app enables users to work on almost any image format, the company said.
The HP Sprocket would be handy for photography lovers who love to capture their day to day moment.
“While smartphones have made it very simple to store our memories digitally, the power of printing photographs cannot be undermined. The moment a digital photograph gets printed it becomes a tangible treasure one can cherish for life,” Raj Kumar Rishi, Senior Director, Printing Systems, HP Inc India, said.
