Huawei all set to launch foldable 5G smartphone on Febraury 24
As Per Reports, The Phone May Feature A 7.2 Inch Display And The Company Is Likely To Manufacture Between 24,000 To 30,000 Units.
The company has shared a press invite on its microblogging site for an event at 2pm CET (6:30pm IST) February 24, 2019 in Barcelona. The invite shows an outline of a foldable smartphone's hinge which clearly indicates the product Huawei is expected to launch. The 5G foldable smartphone is expected to come equipped with the in-house HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC and the Balong 5000 modem.
As per reports, the phone may feature a 7.2 inch display and the company is likely to manufacture between 24,000 to 30,000 units.
Talks about Huawei working on a foldable smartphone started in the fourth quarter of 2017. Soon after that, a report emerged that the Chines-smartphone aims to one-up Korean smartphone company Samsung.
Meanwhile, Huawei has sacked a Chinese executive who was arrested on spying charges in Poland, saying his actions have no relation to the company and the incident has harmed its reputation. Poland's counterespionage agency arrested Huawei executive Wang Weijing along with a former Polish security official on charges of spying for China. Huawei, the world's biggest producer of telecom equipment, in a statement, distanced itself from the incident and terminated the employment of the executive.
