Huawei MatePad Pro, a new 10.8-inch tablet and a competitor of Apple iPad Pro, has finally gone official in China. The table was launched in China in multiple colours. It resembles the Apple iPad Pro due to having rounded corners and slim bezels. The key feature of Huawei MatePad Pro is that it supports wireless and reverse wireless charging. While the current models on offer only support LTE, Huawei has confirmed that a 5G version will arrive in Q1 2020.
Huawei MatePad Pro: Price & Availability
The price for 6GB + 128GB model (Wi-Fi only) of Huawei MatePad Pro costs CNY 3,299 (approx. Rs 33,600). Other prices are as follows: CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs 40,700) 8GB + 256GB model (Wi-Fi only); CNY 3,799 (approx. Rs 38,700) for 6GB + 128GB model (LTE), and CNY 4,499 (approx. Rs 45,800) for 8GB + 256GB (LTE). Huawei MatePad Pro is already available for pre-orders on Vmall.
Huawei MatePad Pro: Specifications
According to a report of NDTV’s Gadgets 360, Huawei MatePad Pro measures about 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 460g. It comes with a screen size of 10.8 inches diagonally, with DCI-P3 colour gamut and a QHD+ (1600x2560) pixel resolution. The MatePad Pro runs on EMUI 10.
Huawei MatePad Pro is powered by a Huawei Kirin 990 SoC. The newly-launched tablet supports expandable storage. The device gets four Harman Kardon-tuned speakers, two on each side of the tablet, which promises 3D stereo sound.
On the imaging front, Huawei MatePad Pro comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor, with an f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera.

It packs a 7,250mAh battery, with support for fast charging up to 40W. The MatePad Pro is also capable of charging wirelessly up to 15W and can do reverse wireless charging up to 7.5W. The MatePad Pro also has a “computer mode,” which lets you get a desktop like interface on the tablet, similar to Samsung's DeX.
