Oppo has launched its new smartphone, Oppo F5 Youth, in India. The smartphone is now available for purchase at both major online and offline retailers in India.
The smartphone is a cheaper version of the Oppo F5 and is priced at Rs 16,990.
The phone sports a 6-inch LTPS TFT display with full HD+ resolution of 2180x1080 pixels. The display has an 18:9 aspect ratio, which is most commonly found in flagship smartphones these days.
The handset powers MediaTek MT6763T octa-core chipset clocked at 2.5GHz. The smartphone packs 3GB ram with 32GB on-board storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The battery of the smartphone is packed at 3,200 mAH just like the Oppo F5 and runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The phone also features a fingerprint sensor at the back and comes with 3.5mm audio jack.
Other connectivity features include Dual Nano SIM, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G VoLTE, WiFi and USB On-the-go (OTG).

The smartphone carries a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16 mega-pixel front camera with a f/2.0 aperture lens.
The pricing of Oppo F5 Youth might raise its competition with Honor 7X, which has 2 variants and is priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 15,999 depending on the variants.
Clearly Honor 7X scores higher than Oppo's F5 Youth in terms of price.
