Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro was launched in India recently. It was only yesterday, when Realme 5 went on flash sale in India via online platforms including Flipkart and Realme.com. However, the sale of Realme 5 Pro will begin from September 4 on the same e-commerce platforms in India. Both the smartphones will be sold from brick and mortar stores next month. Yes, you read it right. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth revealed in a video that the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro will be up for grabs from authorised retail stores in mid-September. Also, he revealed that the Realme Buds 2 will also go up for sale in the first week of September.
It is to be noted that in the ninth episode of #AskMadhav series on YouTube, Realme chief Madhav Sheth revealed that Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro's offline availability begins in mid-September. He further added that the company's second-generation wired headphones, the Realme Buds 2, will finally go on sale in the first week of September.
Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro: Price & Sale date
The 3GB of RAM and 32GB variant of Realme 5 costs Rs 9,999. On the other hand, the 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB variants are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively. The smartphone will be available in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colours.
The 4GB + 64GB variant of Realme 5 Pro costs Rs 13,999. The price of 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB variants of Realme 5 Pro has been set at Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively. The smartphone will be available in Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue colours.

Realme 5 features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ for protection. The smartphone, which has dual-SIM (Nano), runs Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM.
On the imagining front, Realme 5 sports a quad rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. There is electronic image stabilisation (EIS) tech included as well. On the front, Realme 5 houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
Connectivity options on the Realme 5 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, a GPS/ A-GPS, a3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, a magnetometer and a proximity sensor.
Realme 5 comes in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB inbuilt storage options, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). Realme 5 packs a 5,000mAh. The device has dimensions of 164.4x75.6x9.3mm, and it weighs 198 grams. Also, there is a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.

Realme 5 Pro sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ for protection. Realme 5 Pro, which has dual-SIM (Nano), runs Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie. Realme 5 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM.
On the imagining front, Realme 5 Pro sports a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. Also, there is an electronic image stabilisation (EIS) tech included. On the front, Realme 5 Pro houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
