Reliance JioPhone to be delayed by a week, says report
A Report By India Today States That The JioPhone Deliveries That Were Scheduled To Start From The First Week Of September Have Been Delayed By A Week.
Reliance Jio was forced to suspend the pre-booking of its much awaited 4G feature phone Jio Phone due to huge demand. Now adding up to the latest developments, a report by India Today states that the JioPhone deliveries that were scheduled to start from the first week of September have been delayed by a week.
The phone will be delivered to consumers on first-come, first serve basis.
JioPhone pre-booking started on August 24 and the telecom operator has confirmed that the booking will start again, but no specified date has been fixed.
Jio has tweeted that by registering one can get to know when pre booking resumes. “Thank you! Are you ready to experience the Digital Life with JioPhone? Register here & know when pre booking resumes https://bit.ly/TyIndiaâ€, Jio posted on its official Twitter handle.

The Jio Phone has a 2.4-inch display with QVGA display, microSD card slot, torch light, FM radio, and an alphanumeric keypad for input. It supports voice commands and 22 Indian languages and has a panic button as well.
For Jio Phone, the company has launched the new Rs. 153 plan, which provides unlimited data (high-speed 4G data capped at 500MB per day), free calls and SMSes, and access to Jio apps.
