Sony India launched its entry-level ‘full-frame mirrorless’ camera the ‘A7 III’ on Thursday with the newly developed 24.2 megapixels sensor.
The new A7 III comes in two variants, one being the ‘Body Only’ that comes without any lens and the other being the ‘Bundle Kit’ that comes with 28-70mm lens.
The camera is well equipped to shoot up to 10 frames-per-second (fps) with diverse 4K video capabilities. Sony has also updated its processing-engine ‘BIONZ X’ which will give a push to the present processing unit by nearly 1.8 times as that compared to the A7 II.
Sony has also added 4D Focus and has 425 autofocus points, that covers almost 93 percent of the frame. A7 III can shoot 177 standard JPEG images, 89 compressed RAW images or 40 uncompressed RAW images. Sony A7 III comes with a massive ISO range of 100 to 51200, expandable to 204800) and a 15-stop dynamic range at low light settings.
Now capable of shooting 710 images per charge, Sony India claims that the camera offers world’s longest battery life for any mirrorless camera. The Sony A7 III is priced at Rs 1,64,990 (body only).
The bundle kit (A7 III body and 28-70 lens) will cost Rs 1,79,990, the company said in a statement.
