WhatsApp for Android to support 'Verified Business Accounts', will be indicated by green tick
The Participating Businesses Will Receive A Green Tick Next To Their Contact Name. This Would Signify WhatsApp Has Confirmed That Phone Number Of The Contact Rightfully Belongs To A Business Account.
WhatsApp has turned out to be the most used mobile messaging application all across the world with over billion users. The huge user base of WhatsApp has made the app a favourable hot-spot for businesses to communicate with the customers.
There's some exciting news as a new feature is coming up which will appeal to businesses.
WhatsApp for Business is yet to be officially launched, but the details about the same have been revealed by the company.
The participating businesses will receive a green tick next to their contact name. This would signify WhatsApp has confirmed that phone number of the contact rightfully belongs to a business account.
WhatsApp's FAQ section has confirmed the new exciting feature. As per WABetaInfo, this verification feature is only limited to a few businesses part of the pilot program.
The latest update will allow the businesses to set working hours where they can leave an 'away' message if not available. The update also allows the user to manage automatic messages.
Nothing will change from the customer point of view. For example- if you have saved any business's phone number in your phone contacts, then the name saved will appear on your WhatsApp too.
In case, the number is not saved, then the business name decided by the company will be visible.
People need not worry about business storming their chats as the feature of WhatsApp's blocking is available.
