The Chinese handset company Xiaomi is all set to launch a brand new Redmi phone in India on Thursday. The latest upcoming smartphone will be exclusively available on e-commerce website Flipkart. Although the phone will also be available on Xiaomi's online retail store.
In a bid to increase its offline presence, there are a chances that Redmi phone will likely be available at offline Xiaomi's Mi Home stores.
However, no specific information about Redmi phone has revealed yet. What we all know about a smartphone is that it will be equipped with a long-lasting battery.
As Xiaomi is emphasising on battery feature of this Redmi smartphone, there is a chances that the phone whose identity has not revealed yet could be the Redmi 5A.
The Redmi 5A was launched in China in October and the main feature of that phone was the 8-days of battery life.
Talking about its specifications, Redmi 5A will have a 5-inch display with 1280x720 pixels resolution with a pixel density of 296 PPI. The smartphone will come with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC processor.
Redmi 5A supports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, burst mode, panorama mode and HDR mode whereas the front camera comes with a 5-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone will run MIUI9 out-of-the-box which includes a smart assistant, smart app launcher, image search, Quick reply, notification management, new Home Screen enhancements, Lock screen enhancements and split-screen multitasking.
Redmi 5A has no fingerprint scanner in the new phone but in terms of design will have more rounded corners.
