Xiaomi’s Mi 9T set to make debut in Malaysia on June 20: Specs inside

After making its mark in France, Italy and Spain, Xiaomi’s Mi 9T is all set to make its debut in the Asian market. Yes, you read it right. According to the post on Xiaomi Malaysia's official Facebook page, Mi 9T will be launched on June 20 this year in the country. However, there is no word on the time of the launch event by the Xiaomi Malaysia.
It is to be noted that Mi 9T is a rebranded version of the Redmi K20, which was introduced in China last month. Xiaomi has recently confirmed that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will be introduced in India in mid-July. The Redmi K20 is being promoted as a ‘Flagship Killer 2.0’ in India.
Mi 9T specifications
The Mi 9T will come with 6.39-inch AMOLED-full HD display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730. It will be available in a 6GB + 128GB storage variant.
The Mi 9T sports triple camera setup at the back with one being a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor coupled with 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a telephoto lens. For selfies, it has a 20 MP pop out camera with AI technology.
Among other specifications, the phone comes with in-display fingerprint sensor, 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The handset can be a good option as it has Game Turbo 2.0 for gaming purposes.
Mi 9T price
The price of Mi 9T is yet to be known for Malaysia. It is worth mentioning here that the Mi 9T price in Europe starts at EUR 329 (approx Rs 25,900) for the 6GB + 64GB, going up to EUR 369 (approx Rs 29,000) for the 6GB + 128GB variant. It will go on sale from June 17 in Spain. An exact release date for the 128GB variant has not been shared yet.
