Xiaomi, one of the most popular mobile phone manufacturer in India may soon launch the successor of its flagship smartphone, Redmi Note 5. It is speculated to be launched in India in January 2018.
Last year, Redmi Note 4 was launched in India around the same time.
Many reports and leaks are already making rounds over the internet about the price and features of the smartphone. A Chinese website Weibo leaked few live images of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.
In the pictures, it is eminent that the phone has a full screen of 5.2-inch with bezel-less display of 18:9 aspect ratio. Reports also suggests that Redmi Note 5 will be a much-improved version of Redmi Note 4 in terms of display, camera, design and the hardware.
Few reports also suggest that Redmi Note 5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and to come in two variants, 3GB and 4GB with an internal storage of 32GB and 64GB respectively.
The major attraction of the phone is its new camera which will have two 12-megapixel lens in the rear. Redmi Note 4 had single 13-megapixel camera at the back. However, front camera of the successor will not see any change and to come with a 5-megapixel camera.
The smartphone is speculated to run on Android Nougat out-of the-box which may also be available for upgradation to Android Oreo. Redmi Note 5 to have a powerhouse of 4000mAh battery with decent standby time.
In terms of price, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to be priced in between Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000.''
