Bad weather halts Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir

The annual Amarnath Yatra officially began on Thursday with the second group of 3,425 pilgrims leaving from Jammu for two base camps in the Kashmir Valley amid tight security. Due to heavy rainfall and bad weather conditions in the Valley since the past 12 hours, the journey for second batch of pilgrims has been briefly halted and they have been asked to stay inside their base camps.
