For the first time in the 140-year history of India's census, a mobile app will be used to collect data for the population counting exercise scheduled to be conducted in March 2021, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday. "A mobile App will be used in Census 2021. It will be a transformation from paper census to digital census," Shah stated while addressing an event in the national capital this morning.
