Double murder in Gorakhpur: Retired police officer, his son shot dead

Amid ongoing row over Unnao rape case, a double murder in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's former constituency on Tuesday triggered violence. A retired police officer and his son were shot dead by unidentified men, in Gobdaur area under Jangha police in Gorakhpur. Angry over the death, the mob set a police jeep on fire and pelted stones at police personnel. The villagers have demanded the arrest of the accused amid assurance from the authorities that they will be nabbed soon. ,
