Jaipur: Why are kites fed fritters on Tuesday, Saturday?

We have usually heard that cows are given fodder while monkeys are served bananas but there is a place in Jaipur where kites are given fritters to eat. It is believed that feeding pulse fritters to kites on Tuesday and Saturday will help the body to remain healthy during old age.
