Khabar Cut2Cut: Top two CBI officers sent on leave to maintain integrity

The CVCs recommendation and the government’s action are intended to restore the institutional integrity and credibility of CBI: FM Arun Jaitley. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday said that it is absolutely necessary that a fair investigation is conducted in the matter relating to the infighting within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Making it clear that the government can’t investigate the matter, the finance minister said that the CBI’s integrity is of foremost priority and that the government will not interfere in the matter.
