The security has been tightened ahead of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s ‘mahamorcha’ that is to be held in Mumbai today. Apart from the additional 600 police personnel, there are reports of the riot control teams and bomb squad, among other forces, to be on standby. The Raj Thackeray-led party has organised the march to show their support for the amended citizenship act and for demanding eviction of illegal (Muslim) immigrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh staying in India.
