Supreme Court has taken a cognisance in a review plea filed by Akshay Kumar Singh. Notably, Akshay is one of the four men convicted in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case. The apex court will pronounce its verdict on Singh’s review plea at 1 PM today. Akshay Kumar Singh’s review plea was heard by a new three-judge SC bench. The hearing on Singh’s review plea was delayed by a day on Tuesday after Chief Justice of India SA Bobde recused himself from hearing the review plea. CJI SA Bobde recused himself from the case because his nephew had represented Nirbhaya in a court earlier. Watch full bulletin
