Hum Log: Curious case of missing children in India

According to records, 70,000 children go missing every year in India. To stop the rising numbers, Delhi and Ghaziabad police have started Operation Milap and Smile respectively. Ghaziabad Police have rescued 36 missing children in the third phase of 'Operation Smile' that was re-launched on the directions of the Union home ministry. A total of 131 children have been reunited with their kin by Delhi Police under a special operation started about six months back as the officials traced out the families of 11 more inmates of children's homes
