Question Hour: Nationalism a crime?

Some students have been allegedly beaten up by some local students in the NIT campus for chanting pro-India slogans. The case has given birth to a new debate where the act of locals and police action is under question. Can chanting pro-India slogan can ever be a crime in any part of India?
