Question Hour: PM Modi’s mother exchanges old currency, government scrutinizing Jan Dhan accounts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi on Tuesday reached a bank in Gandhinagar to exchange her money and withdraw cash. At the bank, Heeraben withdrew Rs 4,500 from bank counter. Further after Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das's announcement of using indelible ink to identify those coming to banks for currency exchange, it has been also decided that the government will constantly monitor the Jhan Dhan accounts for the possibility of settling unaccounted money.
