IPL 2017 | KKR vs MI: Can Lasith Malinga rekindle bowling mojo for struggling Mumbai Indians

The ever-reliable Lasith Malinga is expected to be included in the Mumbai Indians squad to bring the bowling mojo back to the team which is struggling to find a strike bowler for their Indian Premier League 2017 campaign. 

The Sri Lankan slinger, who is famous for his lethal toe-crushing yorkers, seems to have fully recovered from a knee injury as he played for his country in the recent T20 series against Bangladesh.

There are reports that the bowler might feature in team's second match against mighty Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Malinga is IPL’s all-time leading wicket-taker with 143 scalps from 98 matches with an average of 17.8.

The player missed the previous IPL season to the injury that kept him out of action for nearly a year.

But this time around, the fast bowler looks all set to spearhead the Mumbai Indians attack once again after missing the opening match in which he was badly missed.

Malinga can not only open the bowling, he is equally effective in the slog overs with his yorker deliveries and economy rate.The bowler is just two matches away from completing 100 IPL games and need seven more wickets to cross the 150 mark.
