Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known for his exploits in all departments of his game. Apart from wicketkeeping and batting, the skipper has also excelled in captaincy as well.

But, there is one area where he has not contributed much and that is bowling. Once, there were talks that Dhoni possesses bowls at a good pace and there were popular belief that he should also roll his arms.

But, as Dhoni was doing his duties behind the stumps, he was not able to bowl in the matches. As a matter of fact, Dhoni bowled at the Lord’s Test in India’s tour of England in 2011. In a brief spell, he almost got Kevin Pietersen out.

Now, in a surprise move, Dhoni bowled spin to batsmen during net practice ahead of third ODI against Australia in Indore. Dhoni joined the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel in the nets for spin bowling.

In the present series, spinners are having great time on the ground. Kuldeep Yadav has also been successful in taking hat-trick in the second ODI.

The Holkar stadium pitch is expected to be batting friendly but there are also claims that wrist spinners can become successful on the pitch.
