Top seed Son Wan Ho knocked India's Kidambi Srikanth out of the men's singles event in the ongoing BWF World Championships at Scotland on Friday. The South Korean defeated the Indian shuttler in straight games in the quarterfinals. Wan Ho was all over his Indian opponent in game one, sealing the opening game 21-14 with relative ease.
Srikanth put up a much better show in game two but the Korean held his nerves in the crucial moment of the match winning the encounter 21-18. Srikanth had defeated Denmark's A Antonsen to book a place in the last eight of the tournament. In the women's section, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal have also made it to the quarterfinals.
