Speaking At An Annual Developer Conference In Mountain View, California, Google CEO Sundar Pichai Explained The Company's Progress With The Google Assistant.
Alphabet Inc’s Google in its biggest event of the year Google I/O 2017 on Wednesday announced its digital assistant to iPhone.
Speaking at an annual developer conference in Mountain View, California, Google CEO Sundar Pichai explained the company's progress with the Google Assistant.
He announced Google Assistant will now also be available to iPhones, and the SDK will allow developers to integrate the virtual helper in all kinds of devices.
Pichai also said that roughly 70 percent of queries to Google Assistant are in natural language, and many of these queries are follow-up queries.
The Assistant debuted last year on Google’s own hardware, and the company has gradually extended the tool to devices from other manufacturers running on its Android operating system.
Google CEO Pichai also announced another feature called Google Lens which can recognise objects by simply pointing smartphone’s camera at them. The Google Lens can also enter wi-fi passwords simply by pointing the camera at the password text.
